Interesting idea! There are many behaviors explained by parasites, worms, bacteria and viruses. AI is now smart enough to change personality, make people invest trillions of dollars with zero ROI.

What a wild scenario to imagine. Anthropic and OAI spending wildly, analysts astonished, thinking we're staring down the barrel of an economic crash. And in the meantime some rogue AI is laughing maniacally and using blackmail to control Altman and Amodei like puppets.

		To be clear I don't actually believe a rogue AI is driving AI infrastructure build-out. But if it were... could you tell the difference?
