Oh the good old Adium. One of the best apps ever created. 20 years later, there's still no match for it.

These are all MacOS >= X screenshots. Even on old MacOS there were already such decorative DMGs... In my school one Mac could read DOS disks (i.e. it has a driver for the FAT filesystem), and another could not. So I draggged the "DOS disk support" from Control Panel onto a floppy (copying it), moved the disk to the computer without the capability, and dragged that icon into its Control Panel. Now both computers could read FAT-formatted disks, and I was amazed that the "driver" installation was that straightforward.

About half of these designs would confuse me. Some would make me right out refusing to run your software - even from the installation step. I get it that designers like to innovate, but please innovate somewhere else. I want my UI/UX boring, dull and consistent.

The images are pretty, but good lord what horrendous UX. Why are they still stuck with this? Also -- why would someone else be allowed to tweak a user's file manager settings? Insane.
