I don't know how it is in Europe, but in the US, a long warranty does not necessarily indicate a belief on the manufacturer that the product will last that long. In many cases warranties are non-transferable (or only partially transferable), so a long warranty could just mean "We think you will sell this before it fails" rather than "We think this will last a long time." | |||||||||||||||||
