I think "recycling" cybertrucks in this manner, basically to reuse their batteries, may give them a more practical afterlife then when they were a truck.

I just checked and prices are going to have to come way down. Who is buying a 2024 Cybertruck for $70k+?

Try an F150 Lightning with the Extended Battery

Very few, I would imagine. Pricing is just divorced from reality (as in, the point where you'd be able to successfully sell one in a reasonable amount of time), the "I know what I have" stubbornness that is pervasive among a certain type of seller to their own detriment. Pure speculation, but I wouldn't be surprised if this specific car basically self selects for that type of person.

Recycling them to make saucepans from the stainless steel would give them a more practical afterlife then when they were a truck.

Not bad. The shell would also make a nice BBQ.
