This is so wrong. I can tell that the poster never used deepseek 4.1 flash for substantial tasks. To me it's absurd how much more people pay for Claude & Co. for even complex software engineering tasks (not talking about finding the cure to cancer here). Just look at the caching prices and expiration times... Did you know that deepseek caches are alive for many hours usually between 1 and 3 days(!)? For a fraction of the price of openai or anthropic?

I'm using Claude all day at work and deepseek privately for very similar tasks. The price/performance difference is extreme.
