This is awesome.

I always wanted to do 2 things and never found enough time

* ballroom dance competition videos to share on insta for peers and judges

my kid is doing ballroom dancing and as a dance parent i record every competition, but i always struggle to find time to edit it well to share it.

I end up with a lot of high quality videos from my sony a6700 or iphone 17 and do some editing with resolve but it takes FOREVER and so i do it rarely

* Travel videos to share with friends and colleagues

I love travelling and this summer i have hiked through Albanian Alps and Dolomites and wanted to stitch those into a cool video to showcase to my friends and coworkers, but i just dont have enough time.

I have a lot of high res videos on my Iphone 17, Insta360 x5 and DJI Avata 2 that i have no time to edit.

My dream would to unleash my agents on these huuuge files and to help me organize them by time, and place and then to use agents to pick out the best scenes per place and help me stitch great showcasing videos

Does anyone have a good workflow for these? Would Kino be a great tool or is this best done locally with Claude/Codex?

Amazing! That's very similar to what I do in Kino whenever i shoot in Log. We support very dense MP4 files, ProRes, many different cameras that were filming at the same time, etc.

When you sign in there is a workflow button to click on where you just plug in your iPhone, your SD cards, and it will index everything + lay out a quick stringout that makes sense. It helps to also give links to instagram videos whose style you like. Tons of friends are now using us to edit home movies they never would have otherwise, as the footage was just sitting there earlier
