It's especially fun when not implementing the naughty bits is its own source of vulns. Your code is simpler and less prone to RCE, but your proxy mishandling or whatever allows for credential smuggling attacks, identity spoofing, request smuggling, cache poisoning, and all the normal issues at the application layer.
