If you're worried about head trauma, just consider that football is being widely studied & reported upon right now. Look at the stats of basically any contact sport: wrestling, soccer, hockey, etc. You'll probably have to dig deeper to find the the studies, but they all show that the athletes are significantly more likely to develop these types of brain disorders.

This is incorrect. I can tell you offhand soccer and hockey both have lower rates of CTE’s, soccer by a significant amount. American football has been the most studied and reported on because of how bad it is and how popular the sport remains anyway

Why do you think it is incorrect?

"This analysis revealed that risk ranged from a 5-fold increase in Alzheimer’s disease, through an approximately 4 fold increase in motor neurone disease, to a 2 fold Parkinson’s disease in former professional footballers compared to population controls."

"...the odds of having chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) increased by 34% each year [of ice hockey] played, and 18 of 19 National Hockey League players had CTE."

Yes hockey has CTE’s but it’s at a lower rate than with US football. Nobody is saying it’s super safe or doesn’t have CTE cases.
