Continuing to believe in democracy when you seem to know how the country (all countries) actually works in practice is surely just illogical.

You can't vote for anyone who'll abolish the FBI, CIA and the rest of the elite groups that actually run things

You can vote for someone who won't go out of their way to alienate your allies, start wars on a whim, defund science, whitewash history, pardon his loyal militia men, engage in blatant insider trading, etc etc etc
