Anthropic's Efficiency: More Bang for the Buck, or More Bucks for the Bang?

I'm more on the end of hoping that the increased Anthropic profit is reflective of increased value. There's no guarantee of any sort that it is. But, given the massive bubble that is being created by inflated AI valuations, I think seeing proof that is is actually providing that sort of value is hopeful for me and the economy.

		The tricky part is that profit is not necessarily an indicator of value, if underlying costs, particularly GPU hours, are subsidized. There's a question of how sustainable the investment into AI infra by the hyperscalers is, which will ultimately have to pass down the costs to the frontier labs.
