As lots of Apple Users are in here: I'm thinking about "sidegrading", my M2 Pro runs fine, but I chose 16 GB/512 GB when I bought it and I think 32 GB/1 TB would be nicer in some cases. Is it easily possible to sidegrade/upgrade with a Timemachine backup?

Yes. Make sure both source and destination are the same macOS version. I use 27.0.1, you could upgrade to 27.2 first though. Then do a fresh install on your new system and then use Migration Assistant. Use a USB-4 or a Thunderbolt cable to speed it up.

I'm in the exact same boat as you, exact same specs. CPU/GPU holding up perfectly for my use cases, but 512GB is tough to manage now.
