Since this is exactly what I am searching for, maybe someone here can help: Does anyone know of a good looking display, just a slab on a stand like imacs or Studio displays? I want something good looking for the Linux PC in my living room but almost all monitors out there are just plain ugly and bulky. Ideally 27-32" but at this point i dont really care anymore... Thanks!

What about Dell's UltraSharp series? I have a 1440p 27" one and the only complaint I have is that that particular model has a bit of inverse ghosting. Not egregiously so but compared to my ugly MSI gaming monitor right next to it it's a bit noticeable. Edit: For posterity the model I have is a U2724D.

Have you tried Samsung? They have designs that mimic Apple, though probably plastic.
