Sales alone is some 25 % of Microsoft expenditures, so are these 60k about 50 % of what's left?

It doesn't say "everyone in sales" so it's not clear.

Can't be software engineers, from what I learned they were never really paid commensurate to value they delivered. So it must be quite economical to keep them around.
