The pointy haired bosses are going to do their usual approach: force people to work more, claim success, move on.

Don't you mean that the pointy-haired bosses will force people to "adopt AI" because not adopting it is "stupid", then claim success?

		They will do that, but then it won't work, so they'll blame the underlings and force them to work harder.

all I've seen are large tech sector bills for token usage and investor capital trying to make ai happen
