Exactly. The LLM is actually going to replace PMs not SWEs. It's far more likely for a SWE+LLM to encroach into a PM's role than a PM+LLM to encroach into the SWE's role.

I've been seeing this exact outcome this past year. PMs vibe code a hard-coded idea, then the SWE builds a real working one a week later. By the next meeting the SWE has more features than the PMs demo. A week later the PM is still struggling trying to add more ideas to the hard-coded mess while the SWE is cranking out new ideas.
