On the one hand it is concerning, on the other hand… I was getting quite worried the iPad generation was going to be incapable of developing operating systems. If AI is now capable of maintaining it, that will save us from collapse.

As long as "the iPad generation" can write and maintain ML tools? Because otherwise all software gets locked behind the tools which as they grow more complex will require more access to more resources to produce.

Doesn't this just end up with the tech billionaires being the only ones who can make software. Will they decide to allow their models to maintain/create FOSS? Seems unlikely.
