German has a word for everything; English has more alternate words for bodily functions than one could ever need :)

It's far worse I'm afraid, you're describing level one beginner English; Colloquial English, aka Inception English, doubles up alternate meanings for the extant exuberance of words and phrases.

Of course I might simply be taking the piss.
