The Withings app has just got consistently worse and worse over the last few years. I just wanted some scales that would sync to my phone and record my weight over time.

Now the app is absolutely bloated and I can barely find my weight, and the syncing has become _much_ less stable, and the app is constantly asking me to sign in again.

Amazing how they were from good, to bad, to terrible.

Noticed this in the Withings app too. Sadly I've seen this trend with a lot of apps. For example 98% of the time I open the Audible app I want to play an audiobook, but they make you click multiple times. They want you to buy books, not listen to them.

There's also the the part where you had to opt in to unrestricted data collection to use the app. The app won't geocode data from the watch unless you set it to allow location tracking at all times, even when not using the app.

Got the Scanwatch on an employer discount deal with Withings, still wasted $180.
