It has already been happening for decades if not centuries. Instead of bargaining with superintelligence though, it's bargaining with moronic systems. I watched an airline gate employee struggle to allow a family onto a flight despite acknowledging that they were confirmed and had seats on the plane because the computer wouldn't beep when they waived their boarding passes. She called her supervisor. Her supervisor resolved it not by writing "it's okay they can get on" into an exceptions field, but by kicking them off the flight, putting them on standby, then accepting their standby request and reseating them (in different seats, not all together, for some reason). The humans involved all knew things were okay, but the system was too dumb to just allow them to go forward. Superintelligence might even help. | ||
