I mean I can't speak for most people, but if the people I read are any indication, a whole lot of regular people are sick and tired of tech companies announcing their presence in our society and then immediately setting about making daily life worse for everyone but them.

That doesn't mean you get to take over private companies and start telling them where to spend their money.

This isn't about sympathy for one, or even all of these companies. I hate more than one of them myself, and wish for their demise.

Like I'm not advocating for violence here, I'm just saying the list of political figures who "didn't care what regular people thought" and the list of political figures who were then subsequently murdered in public acts of political violence are a venn diagram that's practically a circle.

		My point has been reiterated several times, I'm sorry you missed it: you don't get to translate your bad feelings into seizing/directing private companies and how they distribute their compute. You can say you do, by threat of death for disobedient politicians, but...well, that's bullshit. The people murdering & attempting to murder politicians don't fit the description of "regular people." And you're almost entirely incapable of directing policy with that tactic.
