My experience is literally the exact opposite. Suburbs were lifeless, soulless places and the city is where my social life got measurably better. There's no way I can ever go back to the suburbs now

Suburbs are good for families, it gives the kids plenty of space to play. Though, with people no longer having kids, they are kinda pointlesss.

		I'd say there are upsides and downsides. The kids have room to play, but do you have to drive them to see their friends? Or are they close enough to walk or ride their bikes over there? It depends on the neighborhood.
