Case in point: I just typed “autofill” into the address bar. Took about 1 second before anything showed up in the dropdown, and lo and behold, “Find ‘autofill’ — no matches”. Deleting “autofill” and typing it in again — “4 matches”, and dropdown entries appeared as I typed. What a shitshow.

Each one of these glitches in isolation isn't enough to push me away, but I had enough of them that it became unpleasant to use. The most annoying one was where I hit enter on the address bar and the page would just do nothing. Sometimes for 5, 10, 30 seconds. It was intermittent but annoying as fuck. If I clicked on the address bar and hit enter again it would work. Turns out it's been a bug for 15 years. Thousands of reports, still not fixed. Such a basic function for a web browser and they can't get that right.
