Their video ad wasn't convincing either. It was about a family chatting in the kitchen and using the device in the middle of it.

It seemed incredibly fake to me, and I couldn't identify a single interesting use case.

I thought the "ping my keys" was cool until I took out my phone and asked Siri to "ping my keys" and it worked (I do have the iOS beta with the newer Siri fwiw if you try and it doesn't work).

I wish the AirTag made a noise that was locatable instead of seeming to come from everywhere at once

The Find My app actually gives really good directions.

		Yeah, I wish it could do that range-finding trick with a phone, almost worth putting an AirTag case on your phone just for that. The noise is useless, however, I've been "within a foot" of the keys for 5+ minutes trying to find them - often the best is to have one person start moving things whilst the other watches the phone and screams when it says "it's moving".
