Would it? The file handle doesn’t contend for a lock IIRC; just writes.

I mean sure, you could still win if almost no requests are opening the database in write mode

		Does it lock if the DB is opened in write mode, or only when a write query is issued? If the latter, then it’ll only contend on simultaneous writes, which mutex anyway.
