In this specific case, it's probably just aqui-hiring. There's a ton of incredible talent at Deno and Cloudflare can pay them a lot more Also Deno was starting to try to increase revenue with stuff like Deno Deploy. If Deno did succeed, they would be a direct competitor with Cloudflare Workers With Bun I think it was basically a marketing ploy.
