There are plenty of mathematicians who think the results are interesting. Not only do they have the "patience" you speak of, some even seem to be enjoying exploring the new results.

		No idea why you're downvoted, my intial thought was that I would like to see some of this supposedly widespread sentiment as well. I even think it's plausible a lot of mathematicians are excited by it, but the sweeping confidence of the comment you replied to without anything to back it up leaves some to be desired
