This is why no code / low code is exciting. It will allow people who excel in what you call the "most important" parts to be able to create games. Now, I don't think Google Playground is the best demonstration of this point, given it's intended to be quick turnaround. None of what's shown in the demo video is particularly thoughtful. But it still is a good indication of things to come. | ||

Most people are not remotely capable of designing even a mediocre game. The more games you play, the more you understand and appreciate what makes a game good, and how hard it is to come up with a game that is original, enjoyable to look at and fun to play. Lots and lots of games created by professionals don't even excel at any of them. Meanwhile indie game developers are never limited by their programming skills. I'm not looking forward to all the slop that comes out of this. | ||
