Well, all C authors did just that, they moved on from their creation, trying a first successor with Alef, Limbo and then Go. Likewise by 2002, AT&T also decided C had enough of lifetime and started the Cyclone project, which has a great effect in modern type systems. They might have not won over C, others will, with projects whose influences trace back to where UNIX and C were born, quite ironically. Which is much more interesting to post about than Modula-2 in 2026. | ||||||||
