Elon musk used his hundreds of billions of dollars to buy a social media platform to push a certain politician, bribed voters, and bought his way in to the government to fire everyone who would investigate his AI business.

You can't just "change laws" when the people building these data centers control the laws.

So the answer is to shrug at environmental regulations and laws protecting the community? I don’t understand how letting Musk and co violate the laws and creating bad outcomes is somehow the superior solution. You seem to be arguing they’ll get what they want no matter what so we should just, what? Do nothing?

If the laws aren’t working we should change them. That’s how this all works. Yes we can debate the efficacy but that’s the system we have and just ignoring laws isn’t viable.
