Tangential, how do you identify what is a satellite in the night sky? They're not shown on Sky Map, the app I use.

Do you mean, with the naked eye? It needs to be quite dark - minimal light pollution.

Then some satellites look like stars that move relative to the actual stars. It's not too hard to find one with a bit of patience. It's pretty amazing.
