Hopefully something comes of it. When ProPublica blew open the rent-fixing scam, officials laser-focused on one company that was doing what the entire industry was doing, dragged out prosecution, and then settled for peanuts, with the people whose lives were thrown into upheaval by criminal rent increases *ahem* not seeing a dime. What should have been a major scandal, what should have rocked the housing market, was instead brushed under the rug. And, of course it was, because it would have rocked the housing market.

I'm just saying, don't get your hopes up.
