You mean like when they made daycare and preschool free in 2019? Or when they gave stronger parental-leave rights in 2021 and 2025? Or when they increased the child allowance (a monthly payment to parents per child) in 2024? Or when they made it mandatory for employers to offer things like telework or reduced working hours for parents with children under the age of 3 in 2025? None of it has worked so far, but they are taking aggressive steps to try to fight the declining birthrate. | ||
