Words fail to express the pain resulting from my initial (too-eager) use of these machines at two completely different times in my life. Suffice it to say that, contrary to what my first medical specialist told me, it is not only possible but quite easy to experience more than one episode of plantar fasciitis in one's life!

Rather than explaining, I suggest you ask gently especially among your older male comrades about their experiences with plantar fasciitis. I hope no one kills you for reviving the memories.
