In all markets where Chinese EVs are available, BEV sales significantly outstrip hybrids in 2026. EU, Australia, you name it.

At the end of the day hybrids are a transitional technology, and it makes sense to ditch the ICE entirely as soon as you can.

I stand corrected (for the EU), I didn't notice the data splits out PHEV and HEV into two buckets.

The trend is obvious though, as EV adoption increases hybrid adoption goes down.

		This is an annoying property of "EV" stats which you have to watch out for, people playing shell games with the three categories of BEV/PHEV/HEV.

		Hmm don't know if that follows. Hybrid adoption is not a gateway to full EV adoption, especially because the ROI and battery cost are higher (and lower) in P/HEV.
