I don't mind self-ads especially if its like "Hey we're releasing this new movie in 2 weeks, are you aware?" just so long as I can skip them after the first time, and they are pre-cached when I open the app so you can download my movie / show in the background while this one plays. Guess I'm being wishful about good engineering. ;)
