Why aren’t we raging at movie theaters? They’ve been putting ads before the content we actually paid to see for a long time now

At the movies I can grab popcorn while the ads play. And usually the ads are for other movies, often enough topical. Watching an action movie, get ads for more action movies.

If ads are playing on the TV, they inject themselves into your home. Especially kids now wanting to buy or watch that you didn’t get to vet.

i don't think i've ever seen a discussion about movie theaters online where people weren't complaining about preroll ads, going back a good 20 years when this started to happen :)
