Good point - we must remember that russia attacked Ukraine already in 2014, Ukraine agreed to their conditions and it still did not prevent russia from wanting more. History repeats itself - appeasement never works.

Yes, in this case one side (russia) attacked other (Ukraine), which is just defending itself. It's very clear who is the aggressor here. This entire conflict could be prevented if russia did not attack, that's it.
