We've been in one war or another for most of my adult life.

We are in a perilous position right now in Europe, very close to a major escalation of the Ukraine conflict. This would entail direct conflict between nuclear-armed powers.

I find it deeply troubling that no mainstream party in most European countries seems to think this is a bad idea.

I think all of them do, but the alternative is to let the Russians do what they want and that ends worse for all of us.

		Letting russians take the Crimea without any consequences in 2014 is what led the world to all of this. I dare to say, ALL of it, not just the war in Ukraine. Letting them do even more horrible lawlessness will only lead to worse outcomes.
