"Families and survivors interviewed by Iranian media reported that the school was struck twice, with a brief interval between strikes. Several sources reported that the first munition struck the lower floor of the school, leading the principal and teachers to move the children to a prayer room on the upper floor. A second munition then struck the upper floor, killing many of the children."

Is there another doc that contradicts the timing or mentions first responders? I'm kinda pissed that The Guardian doesn't link anything.

You said it was the UN report, and tbh I trust that more than a one-off title on an image. Maybe the "brief" pause in the UN report was 40 minutes. Either way, no mention of first responders.

I said UN report and the Pentagon report. The NYTimes leaked an early Pentagon report but I didn't save the original article. All I have is this quote I saved from it, but when I google it the original article doesn't show up:

One official cited by The New York Times said, “We are still looking into the strike, but the evidence increasingly points to US aircraft as the source of the school being hit.” US authorities have acknowledged the inquiry but have not officially claimed responsibility.

Any ways I think it's a little obfuscated because the initial wave of airstrikes started at 11:22am and there were 9 in total, several hitting near the school and at least 2 hitting the school directly. All of this happened in less than 2 minutes according to a joint investigation by Sky News and Forensic Architecture.[0] I think that's also the source of the confusion of whether this was a "triple tap" or "double tap"

		The FA article is good, but yeah it's still not clear when the strikes directly on the school happened. The firefighter's account mentions clearing the area and hearing more explosions but doesn't say whether the school was hit again. I'm still thinking it's not after families or first responders arrived, because the death toll would've included more than children and teachers. He said 1500 people were gathered.
