It doesn't seem they have problems with the content existing in itself or desire his arrest over it. They're just disappointed in things like billing that as science or copying someone else's free stuff for ad revenue and that lowered their view of them.

Maybe that's not reasonable, maybe it is, but I dunno enough details about Galileo's prosecution to follow this comparison as a take on that - did he try to claim heliocentrism was the word of God and so some religious people said they stopped liking his works because of the false billing? Where'd the house arrest come in?
