Really is for the best.

XCancel is a nice QOL but sends the message that using Twitter is fine. The more people that give up at the login screen the better.

That would be fine if everyone just moved. Unfortunately we’re in a position where people with interesting things to say happily accept the shepherding towards downloaded the app

		At this point if you have something interest to say and you can’t put it in a blog then I guess I just won’t read it. I stopped using Twitter before it started calling itself X because Tech Twitter was always beefing over something stupid and the negativity was bumming me out. I never joined alternatives because I imagine folks are just beefing over there trying to farm engagement from their takes.

		If it makes you feel any better, even with the app most of the time these links don’t work (on iOS). It prompts with “open in app store” with 80% probability and the link is unviewable.
