> Curious why you won't engage about Israel, now you're doing ad hominem attacks.

Mostly because I'm older and I've been following the middle east wars and Israel<>Palestine dynamic closely since the early 2000s, and when I see the usual social media bait (ala trying to pretend it's simple enough to compare Israel to Al-Qaeda and Iran-backed terrorists) it instantly sets off alarms in my head that this person got their takes from 2026 social media and not from careful study of history or reading books.

If you want my personal opinion on Israel I believe their hyper-religious settlers are no different than jihadists in Syria and Iraq. They are both ultimately state-backed (at some level) and are fundamentally a result of lack of strong cultural values and accountability by the local government, and subsequently responsibility lies with the local populace who tolerates it. I also feel the same way about Cartels in Mexico and South America.
