Why limit? This is a news website where users judge if something is newsworthy by upvoting it. If the community decides it’s newsworthy it’s newsworthy. Maybe not for you but at least enough people to make it visible in front page. Unless you have strong arguments, like topics creating death threats or people doxing, there is no reason whatsoever to censure any news because you personally doesn’t care or don’t like it and prevent others from accessing it. | ||

HN is curated by moderators and votes are just one input. All sorts of topics get downweighted all the time. Given the longevity of the AI news cycle it's not a crazy ask to suggest it get downweighted too. And it's "censor", not "censure". To censure AI news would be for Dan and Tom to lodge a formal complaint about it. | ||
