Yep. They came up with the solutions I would have suggested! (CMD + F1, internal/external monitor craziness, Caps Lock key as your power indicator.)

Probably the battery isn’t that great because it’s old — I’d be curious what mAh it’s still holding. Also wondering if that display is being connected and somehow drawing power from the computer (although I wouldn’t think it should if it’s turned off).
