yeah it's like one shortcut and a trim bar in QuickTime so that's the right tool for the job. iMovie isn't much harder but is a palaver with its whole pre-rendering thing just to export what should be a trivial edit. | ||

The Photos app (on Mac/iOS) has the same trim interface as QT too. | ||
