€2.66 for diesel in The Netherlands.

Which is double of the US price.

Good thing the majority of The Netherlands does everything on a bicycle and doesn't need a car.

It does hurt the transportation industry though. And agriculture, construction, heavy industries.

There is plenty of car traffic in NL [1]. Most runs on benzine/gasoline though, not diesel.

Last time I was in The Netherlands I hardly saw any cars. Everyone was on bicycles. It seems that my personal observance doesn't match the real world.
