What seems odd to me whenever this debate comes up is the failure to differentiate between: - the child must never be unsupervised - I/we think the child should never be unsupervised We have less and less space between an opinion or recommendation and legal requirement. On a wide range of subjects people go straight to “require”, unwilling to simply express their opinion and move on. | ||

I agree. It's one thing to think her action was riskier than you would like for your own child. It's another to think it should be a crime. | ||
