"Gifted" (high IQ) children drop out of school at a staggering rate, something like 25%. I was doing some reading on cognitive science today and found this tidbit.

High IQ is weakly co-related with income, avoiding prison, and longevity. That's all that really can said. It seems to be hit and miss if a highly intelligent person ends up causing a lot of impact and vice versa.
