This is just my story but before ADHD diagnosis and medication I was unemployed, on food stamps, in an abusive relationship, and struggling with alcoholism. After taking medication for a couple years I'm in a healthy relationship, making good money in a stable job, and on the wagon. The medication prescribed helped so much with my impulse control issues that it literally changed my life.
