Not compelling for the basic reason laid out at the start of the article: this is just a re-phrasing of Marx The guy was telling a story about capitalist economies in the 1800s. Little, if anything, about the next 100+ years has proven his stories or concerns valid. | ||

We have the opposite of his assumed falling rate of profit and have raising rate of profit. I would argue is still a stress on capitalism (Not a marxist and actually an anti-marxist) quite possibly leading to a collapse of capitalism. I don't think one can simply dismiss everything Marx said though. | ||
